We have been looking at the weather all day and ultimately felt it would not be a good experience. With a short race (1-mile) meant to be fun we did not think many would show with 54 degree windy and wet weather. All entries will be extended to next year. Part of the St. Patricks Day Parade, which is presented by the Elks Lodge 1430 of Ventura.

Get ready for Vendurance.com's 2nd ever Ventura Green Mile (VGM) taking place on St. Patricks Day before the parade. The run/walk starts on Main Street (Cemetery Park) and finishes at Mission Park on main Street...a very downhill and very fast decent :)

When else do you get to fly down Main Street in downtown Ventura without a concern about cars? This is going to be a lot of fun and a great chance to get a pr.

A super downhill mile run/walk event in Downtown Ventura kicking off the Ventura the St. Patricks Day Parade. 

When?

Saturday March 17th, 2012

Races start at 9:00am. The parade starts at 10:00am. Everyone is Irish on St. Patricks Day.

Where?

Check-In & Registration at Mission Park in downtown Ventura. You will get your race bib and gear there and will then walk/jog a mile up to the starting line near Cemetary Park.

Why?

A fun way to start your St. Patricks Day and get a new mile personal best.

$15 including Free event t-shirt.
